View CareersHartford Care is one of the top care providers in the country. When you join our family, you can expect a warm welcome into our friendly team, where you’ll be valued and supported to be the best you can be to help residents live their lives to the absolute fullest. We provide training and learning opportunities to help you develop all the skills and knowledge you need, so you don’t need previous experience to start a career in care. Other benefits of joining the Hartford Care family include:
We’re committed to ensuring we recruit the right people with the right skills and values to work in our family so that, regardless of your role, the highest standards of care and support are provided to those who live with us. We know how daunting the interview process can be, so we try to create a balance, ensuring we get the best out of those we interview whilst doing so in a relaxed way.
After submitting your application, if you’re shortlisted you’ll receive a call from us, so we can get to know you a little better and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
We’ll discuss the role in more detail and ask you a few questions to gain a little more information about you and your experience. This process will help us to determine if you should progress to the interview stage, and it also gives you the opportunity to make sure you’re happy with the role.
Our interviews are usually conducted by two members of our team, but sometimes our residents like to be involved in the interview process too, as their opinions really matter to us!
You’ll be asked a series of questions relating to the role you’ve applied for and you’ll also be asked to bring with you various documentation to evidence your identity and eligibility to work in the UK. In some instances, we may invite you to a ‘taster day’ as part of your interview; these are designed to give you a ‘taste’ of what a typical day looks like working in a home and the role. This also helps us establish if you’re the right person for the role and enables you make sure the role is what you were expecting. After your interview, we’ll give you feedback and let you know if you’ve been successful in your application.
If you’re successful and we offer you the role, we’ll need to carry out some final checks to ensure we comply with relevant regulations.
We’ll ask you to provide documents so we can carry out a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, as well as apply for references. Once all the relevant checks have been satisfactorily completed, we’ll confirm your start date with you. When you start, you’ll have a ‘shadowing period’ in your first couple of weeks, as well as a robust induction, including training and other learning opportunities, regardless of your previous experience.
We’re always looking for kind, caring and passionate people to join our Hartford Care family. Check out our current opportunities below:
