Christmas and New Year celebrations at Hartford Care
Despite these challenging times, Hartford Care’s residents and teams all celebrated Christmas and the New Year in style.
The much-acclaimed Woodlands House pantomime went ahead as usual, but this time, the show, Beauty and the Beast, was streamed online so everybody could enjoy it via social media.
At The Elms in Bembridge, Isle of Wight, the residents were given a very special Christmas treat through some wonderful presents donated by the Newport branch of Dunelm. Some wonderful Christmas hampers were also delivered to Hartford Court in Portsmouth from Shaping Portsmouth and Express FM.
Residents at Boulters Lock in Maidenhead and Tegfield House in Winchester were treated to a virtual performance of The Old Vic in Camera presenting A Christmas Carol via the care homes’ big screens.
There were traditional Christmas lunches with all the trimmings at Malden House in Sidmouth and The Laurels & Pine Lodge in Poole.
For New Year’s Eve, The Elms held a firework display with everybody enjoying sparklers, music and drinks. Boulters Lock had New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day parties, which included dancing and karaoke.
Bethel House in Barton-on-Sea had a drinks party and at Highfield Nursing Home in Ryde, Isle of Wight, residents made greetings cards, sending good wishes to their loved ones.
A very happy New Year to you all from everyone in the Hartford Care family.
