Hartford Care Family Day

Every year in August, Hartford Care holds its annual Family Day, an occasion when we all come together to celebrate our families and share some precious time together at our care homes.

This is a very special day when our 15 care homes traditionally open their doors to the families of our residents and teams. The day is always full of fun and laughter with families joining special activities and events, which both the staff and residents have helped to organise.

Last year, the themes for the day included the Greatest Showman, the Big Top and Beach Parties.

This year, our Family Day will be going ahead on Wednesday 19th August. While the current pandemic continues, we are having to organise the day slightly differently because, with a few exceptions, it will not be possible for us to stage our usual activities.

However, this is not going to stop us having lots of fun and celebrations! Residents and teams at each of the homes are organising their own events which you will be able to enjoy on social media and through video links. We have asked each of the homes to do something with their families in mind but many of these will be a special surprise for you on the day.

You, our families, can also contribute to Family Day in several ways. We would love you to send special messages, videos, cards and letters directly to your loved ones, either staff or residents, to let them know you are thinking about them.

You can also Tweet a greeting to your loved one, which includes our Twitter name @HartfordCareLtd together with hashtag #HartfordCareFamilyDay. This ensures it appears on the Twitterfeed on our website and we will also share it with your loved one.

Thank you all for being so patient and understanding during this very difficult time.
