Join us for Gardening Month at Hartford Care
Hartford Care garden spaces are our pride and joy! At our 15 care home locations, our residents often enjoy the landscaped garden space and welcoming terraces, to ‘take in the air.’
Our residents and staff help us to grow and nurture plants and love watching the green spaces flourish!
Our gardens are open to friends, guests and members of the community. Feel free to pop in and say ‘hello’ to enjoy the allotments, plots and shrubbery so take a look to find your nearest Hartford Care home, via this link.
Here is an example of gardening life at our homes:
Shirley is attentive to the plants to give them ‘TLC’ in the garden, at Highfield Nursing Home in Ryde, Isle of Wight.
Shelia is busy planting raspberry and blackberry plants, we can’t wait for all the delicious fruits to grow!
In Sidmouth, our residents at Malden House enjoy their garden at tea time on a sunny day!
Burnham Lodge in Slough has decided to bring the garden indoors, and sow sweetpea seeds in the lounge!
In Bembridge, Linda our Activities Coordinator helps June to paint her bird box, so it is ready be installed outside!
