Our Home

An outstanding care home in Burnham. On the Buckinghamshire/ Berkshire border, Burnham Lodge is a splendid building dating from about 1900, providing personalised residential, dementia, nursing and respite care deep in the countryside. Located between Burnham, Maidenhead and Beaconsfield, it has been carefully and sympathetically restored to recreate a country house atmosphere, whilst providing a comfortable environment where it is easy for residents to continue to enjoy their individual way of life.

UPDATE: at Hartford Care, we’ve been making some home improvements to all of our existing properties and Burnham Lodge has benefited from the following investments. Improvements to nursing station, full refurbishment of hair salon, refurbishment of 17 bedrooms including conversion of some bathrooms to wetrooms, and extensive work has been carried out to staff accommodation. Ongoing works include- further painting and carpeting in communal areas, six new bedrooms with ensuite wet rooms, external landscaping and works to car parks, and installation of solar panels. Our facilities team will continue carrying out improvement works to all of our existing homes in such a way that residents are disturbed as little as possible. As always, our goal is to improve the lives of our residents by increasing comfort, activity options, and happiness.

Our fully trained, compassionate and caring team are committed to offering three underlying core values – care, comfort and companionship.  Burnham Lodge provides a very social and friendly setting. Our full programme of activities allows residents the opportunity to enjoy arts & crafts, exercise classes, musical activities, cooking, days out and gardening.

Life at our Home

"I believe that everybody has a right to be treated with dignity and respect and that the care our residents receive is second to none. They should be safe and confident that the brilliant, hardworking people who look after them have all the practical and people skills to help them achieve as independent and fulfilling a life as possible. In my role as Home Manager, I aim to inspire excellence, promote compassion and empathy and lead a cohesive team that understands working as a team achieves the best outcomes for everyone and makes the work and our residents' living environment a happy place to be."
