At Hartford Care we place great emphasis on recruiting people who share our passion, commitment and values and who are dedicated to putting residents at the very centre of all that they do. Our people are what makes the Hartford Care difference!
I started my journey with Hartford Care Group as CEO in May 2022.
In addition to my Hartford Care role, I am Chairperson for Oak Housing, which provides for-profit affordable housing, and I am Non-Executive Director at Housing Plus Group, which provides not-for-profit social housing.
Previously, I worked for 8 years as Managing Director at Audley Group, which develops and operates senior housing. Before that, I spent 16 years within the holiday park sector in a variety of roles – from sales person to CEO.
I joined Hartford Care in March 2019 and I am responsible for the accounts and payroll team. I began my career as a Chartered Accountant and now have over 20 years’ experience as a Finance Director. My career has spanned a range of sectors but since 2011 I have specialised in the health care sectors, having previously worked for two residential mental healthcare providers; St Andrews Healthcare and Cambian Group Plc.
I am very passionate about our core values of Care, Comfort and Companionship and our ‘home from home’ ethos which resonates across the whole group.
Hello, I’m Emma, and I joined Hartford Care back in 2017. I originally trained as a nurse, but over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of care roles, moving from carer to management including working as a peripatetic manager before taking on my role here at Hartford Care as Regional Director. During my 20 years in the health care sector, I have worked within various disciplines including working with elderly people, those with learning disabilities and the mental health service.
I love being part of the Hartford Care family, working alongside caring, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who really do want to make a difference by providing the very best care, comfort and companionship to our residents and making our homes great places to live
When I’m not working, I can be found running around after my husband, our 3 little girls and our little Cavachon puppy.
Hi, I’m Nicky, and I have worked for Hartford Care for just over three years now and prior to that I worked for a larger care provider for over 20 years. I have worked in various roles throughout my carer starting as a support worker (many moons ago) and I was a Registered Manager for a number of years before becoming an Operations Director. I absolutely love working for the Hartford Care family, and I have a real passion for person centered care and I believe the Hartford Care values resonate this – ensuring that not only our residents are put at the heart of everything we do, but that all of our team members are well looked after and feel valued.
I joined Hartford Care Group in August 2022 and I am responsible for the Estates & Development team.
I began my career as a Project Manager and now have 20 years’ experience delivering large-scale refurbishment and new-build projects.
My career has spanned a range of sectors, including corporate fit-out and central government estates. Since 2016 I have specialised in the retirement and senior-living sector, having previously worked for the Bupa property team and Audley retirement villages.
I am very passionate about our core values and I am excited to be working with a great team, who are committed to the growth and development of Hartford Care and the ongoing welfare of our residents.
I began my career in the NHS on an HR graduate training programme, gaining experience across primary, secondary and mental health hospital trusts. Upon completion of the programme, I became Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development qualified and completed a master’s degree in HR. After seven years as Head of HR at West Middlesex University Trust, I transitioned to the charity sector as Director of HR for Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, a position I held for six years. I am also a Trustee at GlassDoor homeless charity.
During my time at Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, we created a positive working culture by truly valuing our people, listening to them and helping them progress professionally. The company was awarded ‘The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work’ for 11 consecutive years, which I was very proud of.
I am extremely passionate about working for an organisation that cares about its employees and volunteers as much as its residents and their families. Hartford Care’s values of care, comfort and companionship, along with its ‘home from home’ ethos resonated with me, and my role demonstrates the importance Hartford Care is putting into building a positive culture.
It’s crucial for me to work in an organisation where you can see the impact you have and I want our teams to enjoy coming to work, feel supported and be empowered to do a good job, which in turn gives our residents the best care possible.
We're always on hand to answer any questions you may have regarding your care, your loved one's care, or about working with us.
