An outstanding care home in Bembridge. The Elms is a delightful character residence providing personalised residential, dementia and respite care in the beautiful village of Bembridge on the most easterly point of the Isle of Wight. This wonderful Edwardian property was originally a hotel and has been adapted to include a purpose-built wing, providing a warm and comfortable environment for its residents.
UPDATE: at Hartford Care, we’ve been making some home improvements to all of our existing properties and The Elms has benefited from the following investments. New tarmacking and lining to the carpark, repainting of whole building facade, and a new state-of-the-art hydro spa bath. Ongoing works include- decoration of communal areas, creation of a new hair salon, refurbishment of two communal bathrooms, and brand-new kitchen equipment. Our facilities team will continue carrying out improvement works to all of our existing homes in such a way that residents are disturbed as little as possible. As always, our goal is to improve the lives of our residents by increasing comfort, activity options, and happiness.
Our residents benefit from specialist nursing care delivered by our fully trained, compassionate and caring team. The Elms is comfortable and welcoming, and provides a full schedule of activities, entertainment and outings to cater to everyone’s taste.

The Elms is set within its own secluded grounds, located just off a residential street in a quiet part of Bembridge and provides a wonderfully cosy, comfortable and social place for our residents to call home. Our home offers 48 generously proportioned en-suite bedrooms which are all newly decorated, tastefully furnished and equipped with a flat screen digital TV, telephone point and 24-hour call bell. The Elms boasts comfortable communal areas as well as beautiful and well-maintained courtyard gardens where various activities can be enjoyed or where our residents can sit and watch the world go by.

The Elms is located in Bembridge, claimed to be England’s largest village, which lies at the Isle of Wight’s most eastern point. It has a harbour, three beaches and even its own airport! Bembridge has several shops, pubs and restaurants, together with a church hall, community library and local museum, all providing ideal trips out for our residents. At The Elms we enjoy good relationships with the local stores, library, the village’s Heritage Society and other local groups with whom we organise reciprocal visits.
