Newly-opened care home, in Southampton, celebrated the launch of the home with a day of family fun and activities. Residents, neighbours, staff, and special guest, The Mayor of Winchester, came together on 31st July.

Guests enjoyed  buffet and live music, while a bouncy castle and face painting kept younger visitors entertained. The West End Historical Society was also present to share insights into the community’s history. The event was attended by district nurses and practitioners from local medical centres, strengthening connections that benefits the community.

The Mayor of Winchester, Councillor Dr Sudhakar Achwal, commented:

“It was a pleasure to visit the newly opened Moorhill Care Home and see first hand the thoughtful design and attention to detail that has gone into creating such a beautiful and supportive environment for residents. It was evident that every aspect of the home has been developed with the residents’ comfort and wellbeing in mind. I wish the entire team every success as Moorhill begins this exciting new chapter.”
