The Long Term Care Unit at Hawkinge House in Folkestone offers a home for life for individuals needing ongoing nursing and residential care, especially those living with dementia and physical frailty. Our care suites are larger than traditional rooms, featuring kitchenettes and private living spaces designed to give residents a real sense of “own space” and independence within a safe, welcoming environment.

We cater to a range of complex needs with specialist dementia support, medication management, and therapeutic activities designed to enhance quality of life and wellbeing. The home is built with residents’ comfort and dignity at the heart of every detail, offering landscaped gardens, communal areas, and spaces to relax and socialise.
We work closely with families to provide transparent communication, helping residents stay connected with loved ones and the local community. We also support those who may have funding through NHS Continuing Healthcare or Local Authority to access our outstanding services.

Our Long Term Care unit, has been designed with comfort and accessibility in mind. All rooms are ensuite, with some offering kitchenettes, and we encourage residents to personalise their spaces to feel truly at home. set within beautiful grounds, ground floor residents can access the garden directly from their room. We pride ourselves on offering a rich variety of activities, from small groups to larger events, with entertainment ranging from singers and dancers to magicians — there is always something to enjoy. On the second floor, residents can explore The Village, a welcoming area featuring a pub, hair salon, activities room, and a spacious patio terrace. Our in-house chef provides daily menu choices, with freshly baked cakes available every afternoon.
