Hartford Care has further expanded its senior leadership team, promoting Ben Chance to the newly-created role of Sales Director and Baz Westerman to the role of Estates Director. These appointments come at a time of significant business growth, further strengthening Hartford Care’s position as one of the UK’s leading care providers.

Ben joined Hartford Care in 2022 as Regional Operations Manager, before moving into a Commissioning Manager role to work specifically on the care provider’s new homes. Before his promotion to Sales Director, Ben was Group Sales and Commissioning Manager. Baz also joined the team in 2022, as Assets Manager, before he was promoted to Head of Estates in August 2025.
Kevin Shaw, CEO, said:
“We’re very proud of our commitment to staff progression and skills development at Hartford Care and I’m thrilled to promote two of our fantastic colleagues to the senior leadership team. Ben has been a consistent and proactive driver of new business development since he joined us and I have no doubt he will excel as Sales Director, while Baz stepped into the role of Head of Estates seamlessly last summer and has already made huge strides in improving the functionality and efficiency of the department. This recognition is well deserved and ensures our continuing success as our portfolio increases and our service offering evolves.”
The growth of Hartford Care continues at pace. In January 2026, following the acquisition of Select Healthcare Group by Foundation Partners and Deer Capital, 16 fully operational homes across England and North Wales came under Hartford Care Group’s management, adding an additional 801 bedrooms to its portfolio which now comprises 45 homes in the UK, and 2,327 bedrooms. Turnover at the Hartford Care Group rose from £40m in 2023 to over £140m as a result. In addition, Lisa White was promoted to the role of Operations Director after 20 years of service.
