Set in the heart of Chapel-en-le-Frith, Chapel Lodge is a welcoming care home in High Peak where residents are supported to live comfortably and independently. Whether your loved one needs residential care, nursing care, dementia support or a short respite stay, our team takes time to understand who they are, not just what they need.

This charming home has the feel of a country house, with cosy spaces to relax and beautiful Derbyshire surroundings on the doorstep. It’s a place where people genuinely feel at home, and where families are welcomed as part of the community from day one.

Every resident is introduced to a dedicated team member who becomes their main point of contact, someone who knows their preferences, listens to their concerns, and keeps you updated on how they’re settling in. Care plans are built around individual routines, interests and backgrounds, so support always feels personal.

Life at our Home

"Welcome to Chapel Lodge, where our main aim is simple, to be a home first, whilst providing the nursing care residents need. We're a small but busy home, and we like to keep things active while still offering quiet spaces for those who prefer a calmer pace. The dinning experience here are social occasions, that we encourge chat and for staff to interact with residents during these times. Activities run six days a week, morning and afternoon, from our popular daily exercise club to knitting groups, reminiscence sessions, and visits from the local motorbike club. We're proud of our strong community links with regular visits from local choirs, schools, Brownies, childminders, and pet therapy groups bring life and connection to the home. Every resident has a voice here too. Our residents' chairperson attends meetings and helps us understand what people really want. Families are always welcome with no restricted visiting hours, and we can arrange overnight stays if needed. At Chapel Lodge, everyone should feel safe, secure, and valued."

Our Facilities

Chapel Lodge blends country house charm with modern comforts. We have 34 bedrooms, six with en-suite facilities, alongside a welcoming lounge and dining room designed for relaxation and sociable mealtimes. Outside, garden areas give residents space to enjoy fresh air when the weather allows. Healthcare is well covered at our care home in High Peak, with weekly GP visits, fortnightly mental health clinics, plus a hairdresser, podiatrist, optician, and church services. Chapel Lodge is a home first, that also happens to provide specialist nursing care.

Things to do around Chapel Lodge Care Home

Chapel Lodge is set in its own grounds in Chapel-en-le-Frith, known as the "Capital of the Peak" thanks to its central spot in the Peak District National Park. The village has historic buildings, a traditional market place with old stocks and cross, plus independent shops, pubs, and cafés, all within easy reach. For a short trip out, there's a new shopping area just around the corner with a supermarket and coffee shops. For longer outings, Buxton and Glossop are both around 20 minutes away, offering lovely parks, shops, and plenty of places to stop for tea. Back at the home, we hold regular parties and events where families and friends are always encouraged to join. Good transport links make visiting our care home in High Peak straightforward for families across Derbyshire and beyond.
