Nestled in peaceful grounds within the historic village of Hawkhurst, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Hawkhurst House care home provides personalised nursing, residential, dementia, and respite care in our purpose-built 93-bed care home. We’re also proud to have a dedicated Proactive Assessment Unit (PAU) for individuals recovering from an acute hospital stay, providing the support they need before returning home.
Hawkhurst House care home combines the warmth of a homely environment with high-quality facilities. Every resident enjoys the comfort of a Care Suite which is larger than traditional nursing home rooms, featuring its own living area and kitchen to encourage independence. Residents are encouraged to personalise their space, making it feel like home. Shared spaces include inviting communal lounges, kitchenettes, dining areas, a café and beautifully maintained gardens, perfect for relaxing or spending time with loved ones.
On each floor, a dedicated nurse leads a team of Care Companions, who work in pairs to support a consistent group of residents. This continuity helps build strong trusting relationships, allowing our team to provide care that is as individual as each resident.
At Hawkhurst House, our focus is on helping residents feel safe, supported and in control of their daily lives. We warmly welcome family and friends, and visits here are as natural as they would be in your loved one’s home.

Each of our 93 generously sized bedrooms is fully furnished to a high standard, featuring a flat-screen TV, telephone point, and a 24-hour call bell system for complete peace of mind and comfort.
