"Our Short Term Care unit provides flexible, high-quality care for residents needing temporary support. Whether you need respite care while a family carer takes a well-earned break, rehabilitation after a hospital stay, or a transitional placement while longer-term plans are arranged, our team is here to help. Every resident receives a personalised care plan developed with input from our nursing team, physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Our goal is to support recovery, build confidence and help residents achieve the best possible outcome, whether that is returning home, moving to long-term care, or another arrangement that suits their needs. All 60 rooms are spacious en-suites with built-in kitchenettes and fridges for added independence. Residents can join our full daily activities programme, relax in communal lounges, enjoy quizzes and entertainment in our on-site pub, or visit the hair salon. Our chef prepares fresh meals daily, catering for all dietary requirements."

Our Facilities

At Hawkinge Short Term Care, we pride ourselves on offering comfort, choice, and plenty of opportunities for enjoyment and relaxation. Our in-house chef prepares a varied daily menu, and all dietary requirements are catered for to ensure every resident enjoys delicious, tailored meals. A full programme of daily activities is available, including live singers, therapy dog visits, and gentle chair exercises, so there is always something engaging to take part in. Residents can also relax in our welcoming communal lounges, enjoy quizzes and football in the on-site pub, pick up treats from the sweet shop, or visit the on-site hair salon for a little extra pampering.
