Our Home

Hazeldene House is a purpose-built nursing home in Pembury, set in peaceful grounds just a few minutes from Tunbridge Wells. We offer 24-hour nursing care and specialist dementia care in 80 spacious care suites, each with its own living area and kitchenette. It’s a setup that gives residents more independence and makes visits with family feel more like being at home.

The home has dedicated areas for residents with different needs. Those living with dementia have their own quiet, familiar spaces with consistent staff, while residents with physical frailty are cared for separately so we can tailor the environment and routines to suit. Our nursing team is on hand around the clock, providing skilled, compassionate care for complex health needs including end of life care.

What makes Hazeldene House feel different is the way we get to know each person. We take time to understand residents’ histories, their preferences, what helps them feel settled. Families are encouraged to be involved, and the care suites mean there’s space for proper visits, not just a chat by the bed. We also offer residential care and respite stays for families who are looking permanent care who need a short break, or for those who want to try the home before making a longer commitment.

Outside, our south-facing gardens look out over the Kent countryside. There’s plenty of space for a stroll, a sit in the sunshine, or time with visiting family. We’re close to Tunbridge Wells Hospital and well connected to the local area. We’d love to show you around.
