Why Join Hartford Care

We're a family of over 40 care homes across England and Wales, where warm, supportive teams look after more than 3,000 residents. Our homes are led by Home Managers who genuinely care about their teams, and we give people the training, support and opportunities to build real careers in care.

What It’s Really Like to Work Here

At Hartford Care, we believe in Creating Caring Communities. That means treating our team members the way we want them to treat our residents: with kindness, respect and genuine care. It’s not about policies and procedures. It’s about people.

Our homes are places where staff stay for years, not months. Where Home Managers know everyone’s name. Where you’ll get proper support when things are hard, and proper recognition when you go above and beyond.

We don’t expect you to have all the answers on day one. We give you a two-week shadowing period with an experienced team member, face-to-face training, and ongoing development throughout your career. Whether you’re starting out or stepping up, we’ll help you get there.

Hear From Our Team

“I’ve worked in care for 12 years, and Hartford Care is different. The managers actually listen. When I had an idea to change how we do activities in our dementia unit, they didn’t just say ‘that’s nice’ , they helped me make it happen.”

Sarah

Activities Coordinator

“I joined as a Care Assistant with no experience. My team were so supportive. They paired me with a senior carer who showed me everything. Two years later, I’m now a Senior Care Assistant and working towards my NVQ Level 3.”

Marcus

Senior Care Assistant

“What I love about working here is the residents. You build real relationships with them. They’re not just people you look after , they become like family. It’s the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.”

Gemma

Care Assistant
