Hartford Care is delighted to welcome Jess Salway as its new clinical peripatetic manager. Her role will be to focus on advising and supporting our 16 care and nursing homes in attaining and maintaining CQC clinical excellence.
Jess qualified as a mental health nurse ten years ago and began her career working in elderly care, then forensic psychiatric intensive care for all ages.
She then worked in a variety of private and NHS roles in Southampton, Salisbury and Hook before moving into social care in 2017 when Jess was appointed deputy manager of an Andover care home before becoming its manager.
Jess took some time out to look after a relation who was suffering from ill-health but returned to psychiatric care as a locum with the Salisbury Mental Health Team working in A&E where she counselled and supported patients.
Jess is very excited to be joining Hartford Care at a time of change and growth. “I will be focussing on quality in our homes and will make sure our staff members are fully empowered, giving them the independence to do and recognise what’s best for our residents,” she says.
Initially, Jess will be based at Ashley Grange in Downton near Salisbury, where she will support the team there and in addition, she will be working closely with all our other care homes to ensure they are meeting all the CQC requirements.
With over 20-years of experience in care, our team are perfectly positioned to help you start the difficult conversation about care with your loved one. Get in contact with the Home Manager at your local Hartford Care Home today.
