The Awards were introduced to acknowledge and reward the exceptional contributions of some of its most dedicated supporters.

The winners were invited to celebrate their achievements at a traditional afternoon tea function held at The Ned, in Central London.

The Care Workers Charity supports anyone who has worked in the care sector, who are experiencing financial hardship and may need guidance, support or monetary grants.

Hartford Care has been delighted to contribute to supporting nearly 2 million people working in the care industry, (regardless of role) who may have fallen on hard times, raising over £13,900 for the charity so far, since March 2017.

The January event was hosted by Richard Muncaster, CEO of The Care Workers Charity, Head of Partnerships Alex Ramamurthy and Ben Allen, the Chairman of CWC and CEO of Oomph Wellness.

An internal panel of judges recognised the most noteworthy efforts from a long list of charity’s supporters, selecting twelve outstanding individuals and CWC Partners in seven categories.

CEO Sean Gavin and Brand Director Jo Gavin were in attendance to accept the award and express their gratitude for the recognition.

Sean says: “It feels great to know that our fundraising efforts have been recognised by the charity. We recognise and value the dedication and commitment by all our staff and felt that this charity would be a way to shine a light on this as well supporting anyone who may run into hardship. We look forward to sharing and celebrating this great news with staff, residents, relatives and family carers.”

Richard Muncaster is the CEO of The Care Workers Charity: “I warmly congratulate all of the winners. Your dedication and commitment in helping CWC grow and be heard doesn’t just produce fantastic results, it changes lives”.

During the exciting occasion, Care Home Admissions Advisor Kieran Hogan was presented a Going the Extra Mile award for being an “exceptional supporter of the charity this year and for hosting a number of events in aid of CWC as a Champion”.

Kieran is based at West Cliff Hall in Hythe, Southampton and he now sits on the CWC Board of Trustees where his understanding of the issues care workers face, helps to guide the strategy of the charity.

We take pride in our long-established history as a family-owned business, and firmly believe our excellent reputation within the care industry has been achieved by remaining the home of choice across the South of England.
