This week (7th-13th February) is the 15th annual Apprenticeship Week which Hartford Care is supporting.
An apprenticeship is a paid job offering the employee hands-on work experience, which runs alongside some off-the-job training (usually class-based studying). On completion, this leads to a nationally recognised qualification.
Hartford Care already ensures that nearly every member of our team goes through an apprenticeship process which comprises completing a Level 2 in Social Care or a Level 5 in Management. All our apprenticeship team members at Hartford Care are paid the same rate as the rest of the team.
This year, we are launching an exciting new apprenticeship initiative: The Graduate Nursing apprenticeship scheme, which will initially be open to our existing team members but will be opened up to external candidates next year. This is just another way in which we are striving to support our employees and enable them to grow in their roles.
At Hartford Care, we are fully committed to offering any development which improves the skills and experience of our team members that will enhance the lives of the residents or colleagues they support. Our ultimate goal is to have an apprentice in every workstream of Hartford Care, both at our head office (finance, marketing and HR) and in our care and nursing homes (health and social care, administration, maintenance and chefs).
