Hartford Care’s Hawkhurst House care home in Hawkhurst, Kent, is celebrating after taking home four runner-up prizes at this year’s prestigious Kent Care Awards.
The Kent Care Awards recognise excellence across the care sector, celebrating professionals who go above and beyond to deliver outstanding care and make a real difference in people’s lives.
Individual and Team Achievements
Among the winners, Laura Osborne, Care Companion, was runner-up in the Residential Care Worker category for her commitment to enhancing residents’ lives through compassionate, person-centred care and teamwork.
Head Chef, David Lyddiatt, received recognition in the Care Nutrition category. For his creativity and skill in preparing nutritious meals that meet residents’ individual needs.
Constantin Marcu earned the runner-up position in the Ancillary Frontline Worker category for his dedication and hands-on support as a laundry and kitchen assistant.
The Ground Floor Team, including Hilda Boadu, Nikhil Francis, Ranju Gautam, Sandeep Deevi, Rimple, and Kajaldeep Sandhu, also secured the runner-up title in the Residential Care Team category. Their teamwork and consistent commitment to enhancing residents’ wellbeing truly shone through.

Hawkhurst House care home offers studio and one-bedroom suites, each featuring a kitchenette and living and dining area. To create a homely and comfortable environment for residents with nursing needs. The home also features a Proactive Assessment Unit, which provides support to hospital discharge patients through assessment and treatment services.
