Newland House
Welcome to Newland House, a home in the heart of Witney where warmth, care and connection come first. Set within a building that has been lovingly cared for over the years, Newland House retains plenty of character and charm, with spaces that feel familiar and homely from the very first visit. Here, every resident is known as an individual, from the chair they like to sit in, to the friend they always have lunch with or the garden bench they enjoy on a sunny afternoon. Our team takes the time to learn these details, because it’s the little things that can make such a difference to everyday life.
We know that choosing a care home is a decision made together as a family, and we’re here to make that journey as straightforward as possible. You’ll always be welcomed, included and kept informed, whether that’s through a quick catch-up when you visit or being involved in the bigger decisions about your loved one’s care. Newland House is also part of the wider Witney community, with visits from local schools and churches and regular opportunities to enjoy the town and surrounding area. With decades of experience caring for older people, we understand that good care is about more than meeting practical needs – it’s about helping people feel comfortable, valued and able to enjoy life.
Everyone’s care needs are different, which is why our support is shaped around the individual. Our team provides the right level of help while encouraging independence and supporting residents to make the most of everyday life. I have been part of Newland House for a very long time and worked at Hartford Care for ten years. Newland House is more than a Care Home to my team and I – it’s a place filled with people who love what they do and want to make a difference. I have a dedicated team of whom I am very proud, a team who care and who I would have looked after my loved ones in a heartbeat. I pride myself in ensuring our residents have the best lives they possibly can in an environment which is safe, happy and fun. I want to see them live, not exist, and my team make sure of this, which means they have fun too, and it’s this which makes Newland a lovely place to live and work – I wouldn’t have it any other way!
