I joined Hartford Care at the Elms in June 2024 as Deputy Manager and have since taken on the role of Home Manager. The moment I walked through the door, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, the residents, and their loved ones. I have received nothing but support and encouragement in my role, and I feel privileged to come to work in such a lovely, friendly family atmosphere. It really is a special place to work. Come and see the home for yourself, whether it’s for a tour or just to drop in for a coffee and experience the care and warmth we provide.

Bembridge sits on the most easterly point of the Isle of Wight, and it is a genuinely lovely place to call home. The village has three beaches, a working harbour and a charming high street of independent shops and tea rooms, all just moments from The Elms. Accompanied outings make the most of it, whether that is watching the boats come and go, a gentle stroll along the seafront, or a trip to the historic Bembridge Windmill, the last of its kind on the island. The home has always kept close ties within the village, recently recognised with a Bembridge in Bloom award, and being part of Bembridge life rather than tucked away from it is something residents and families both value. Previous residents and their families are warmly invited back for our monthly Be Our Guest lunch, and our patron, Lady Sally Grylls, is a regular presence at events at the home, alongside local dignitaries.
The best way to experience life st The Elms is to visit us in person. We’d be delighted to show you around and answer any questions at a time that works for you.
