Woodlands House
Woodlands House is a beautifully extended period home in the Southampton and New Forest area, offering residential care, dementia care and respite stay for up to 38 residents. Choosing care for someone you love can feel like a big step. From your first visit, we want you to feel welcomed, get a feel for life here and see what makes Woodlands House feel like home.
Getting to know the person behind the care is at the heart of what we do. We learn the little things that make someone feel at home, from the chair they always choose and how they like their tea, to the stories they enjoy sharing and the friends they spend time with. We know that choosing a care home in Southampton is a decision made together, as a family, and we’re truly honoured to be part of that journey. Woodlands House has twice been awarded the Gold Standards Framework Quality Hallmark for end-of-life care, a mark of quality that runs through everything we do here. We want families to feel at home here too, whether that means popping in for a chat, spending time together or being part of the conversations and decisions that matter to their loved one.

Woodlands House has a lovely, homely feel from the moment you walk through the door. Its original period features give the home plenty of character, while modern touches make it comfortable and easy to settle into. It’s a place that feels familiar and welcoming, with lots of little details that make it feel like home. A grand hallway leads through to a spacious lounge, perfect for company and a chat, while a cosy library offers a quieter spot for the readers among us. The bright dining room turns mealtimes into a proper occasion, somewhere to look forward to rather than simply pass through. Outside, the landscaped grounds unfold before you, full of little corners to sit, or simply enjoy the fresh air and changing seasons. It’s the kind of home where every space, indoors and out, feels comfortable and easy to settle into.
