Special memories made during Hartford Care’s Family Days

From guest appearances by Mickey and Minnie Mouse to adventures under the sea and a trip to Las Vegas – there was something for everyone to enjoy at Hartford Care’s Family Day.

The Family Days are an annual event for families of our residents, loved ones and team members to get together and enjoy a day of activities where the emphasis is always on fun.

At Boulters Lock in Maidenhead, Mickey and Minnie were the special guests at an awards ceremony after which everyone enjoyed meeting the animals at the mobile zoo in the garden.

Meanwhile, in the Isle of Wight, there was scampi and chips on the menu and sea creature masks all around as Springfield Nursing Home in Shanklin enjoyed an Under the Sea – themed day.

It was Viva Las Vegas at The Laurels & Pine Lodge in Poole.  At the same time, just along the coast at Bethel House in Barton on Sea, Hampshire, they celebrated their cultural family with different countries represented, manager Abbey Doyle cutting a regal dash dressed as the Queen.

Caribbean capers were enjoyed at Woodlands House in the New Forest and Hartford Court in Portsmouth.  Family parties and barbecues proved popular at Tegfield House in Winchester and Burnham Lodge in Buckinghamshire.

At Newland House in Witney, Head of Care Sue Walker got a soaking at the hands of the sponge throwers while Stokeleigh in Bristol enjoyed a Summer Fun party with plenty of music and dancing.

We are so grateful to the teams at our care homes for organising their fantastic Family Days. Many special memories were made for everyone who came along to enjoy all the fun.
