Life at Malden House

Every day is yours to enjoy
Life at Malden House is about having plenty of ways to enjoy the day, from joining an activity or tending the herb trug to listening to live music, spending time in the gardens or heading out into Sidmouth. Some days are busy and sociable, others are quieter. Residents can choose what they enjoy and spend their time in their own way.
Activities shaped around you

Something for everyone
Residents choose how much or how little they take part, whether that’s gardening, exercise sessions, creative activities or a day trip out. Some enjoy the structure a regular session brings, others prefer to join in on their own terms or skip it altogether in favour of a quieter afternoon. Both are treated as entirely valid ways to spend the day.

Activities and outings

Fresh food, cooked with care
Home-cooked meals are prepared fresh at Malden House each day, with herbs from our own garden making their way into the kitchen when the season allows. Residents with specific dietary requirements, including texture-modified or fortified diets, are catered for using the same fresh ingredients, with care given to flavour and presentation. Staff offer unhurried support at mealtimes for anyone who needs it, and family are always welcome to join.
