Something for everyone
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all activities. Our programme is shaped around our residents’ interests, abilities, and wishes, ensuring everyone can participate in ways that feel meaningful to them. Whether you want to try something new or continue lifelong hobbies, our Activities Coordinators are here to make it happen

Creative sessions
Creative activities are designed to inspire and engage, whether you’re rediscovering a lifelong passion, trying something new, or enjoying a moment of calm and self-expression.

Music sessions
Singalongs, live performances and musical quizzes that lift spirits and bring people together, including our much-loved Karaoke Friday, when staff and residents alike take it in turns at the mic.

Interactive games
Quizzes, puzzles, and board games that keep minds sharp and spirits high. Fun, friendly competition with plenty of laughter.

Accompanied outings
Trips out around Basildon and the wider Essex area, from Eastgate Shopping Centre to Festival Leisure Park, plus a weekly visit to the local dementia café, with the seaside at Southend for a longer day out.

Animal visits
A weekly visit from a therapy dog is always a highlight, and residents have their own much-loved companion in Nibbles, the home’s resident pet rabbit.

Fresh food, cooked with care
Our chefs prepare fresh, nutritious meals each day, with plenty of choice at every sitting. Texture-modified and fortified options are made by using the same quality ingredients, with care given to flavour and presentation. Residents can dine with friends in our restaurant-style dining room or enjoy meals in the comfort of their own room, with calm, unhurried support available when needed. Snacks and drinks are offered throughout the day, and family members are always welcome to join us.

Rooms at Primecare Residential Home
Each bedroom at Primecare is light and airy with some views out onto the garden, supporting comfort and privacy as needs change over time. Because the home was purpose-built, the rooms were designed as bedrooms from the outset rather than adapted, which shows in the natural light and the space to move around. Eight bedrooms have their own en-suite WC and sink, and every other room has its own sink, with four rooms suitable for couples who wish to share. Residents are encouraged to bring furniture, photographs and personal belongings so the room feels genuinely familiar, whether they are here for a short respite stay or for the longer term.
