Welcome to The Laurels & Pine Lodge

The Laurels and Pine Lodge is made up of two cottages in a quiet corner of Oakdale, Poole, each with its own character. The Laurels offers comfortable residential care, while Pine Lodge is a dedicated dementia community, with its own spaces and routines designed around the needs of people living with dementia. Together, they create a warm, welcoming home where residents can receive the support they need while continuing to live life their own way.

Residents can spend time chatting with friends in the lounges, enjoy the landscaped gardens, join in with activities or simply have a quiet afternoon in their own room. Days aren't rushed, and support is there when it's needed. With Poole's beaches, Poole Quay and the wider Dorset coast close by, there's also plenty of opportunity to stay connected with the local area and enjoy time out with family.

Community

The community and location

Oakdale is a quiet residential area of Poole, and The Laurels and Pine Lodge has strong links with the local community. Churches, schools and nurseries visit the home regularly, helping residents stay connected with people and organisations in the area.

The home is also well placed for enjoying Poole and the surrounding area. The beaches of Poole and Bournemouth are close by, while Poole Quay, Brownsea Island, Swanage and the New Forest provide plenty of options for an accompanied day out. Whether it's a stroll along the seafront, a trip into town or time spent with family, there are lots of ways to stay connected with the local area.

My Mum moved into the Laurels in early April. Ahe did so feeling that she didn’t need a residential setting, but sadley this want the case due to her dementia. As a family we knew it had to happen, but that didn’t mean it was an easy thing to do. The staff have worked hard to integrate and settle Mum and we honestly believe her standard of living has improved since she joined.
