Our Home

Welcome to Springfield Park

Springfield Park sits within its own mature grounds on the edge of one of Rochdale’s loveliest green spaces, with a lake, a miniature railway and a golf course all on the doorstep, not many care homes can say that. From the moment someone arrives, whether for residential care, dementia care or a respite stay, our team takes real time to get to know them and understand what matters most.

Here, every resident is truly known, their favourite spot in the lounge, the routine that makes a day feel right, the view over the grounds they most enjoy. We know that choosing a care home is a decision made together, as a family, and we’re honoured to be part of that journey. You’ll always be welcomed and kept close, whether that’s a friendly word at the door or being part of the bigger decisions about your loved one’s care.

Hear from our team

At Springfield, we pride ourselves on the fact that we are not the average care home; we have a very diverse range of residents, including many younger adults, and we have a very varied and busy activities schedule. We work with the belief that we work in their home and we do all we can to provide a warm, friendly and informal atmosphere. Feel free to give me a call if you would like any further information, or even better, come and see us and I will be happy to give you a guided tour.

About the home

Springfield Park has kept many of its period features, and they give the home a warm, slightly stately character that a newer building rarely has. Mature trees and sweeping lawns surround it, and the setting genuinely shapes daily life here, with residents and visiting families making the most of the grounds and the park beyond. Inside, spacious lounges give residents room to gather or find a quieter corner, and the dining room serves fresh, home-cooked food catering for individual dietary and cultural needs. Rooms are comfortable and easy to personalise, some with views over the neighbouring golf course.

Community

The community and location

The home's setting is its greatest asset. Springfield Park itself is one of Rochdale's loveliest green spaces, with a lake, a miniature railway, a golf course and tennis courts, and families often join residents for a lakeside stroll, a picnic, or simply to watch the model trains. A short drive brings you to Hollingworth Lake Country Park for waterside walks, or the Rochdale Pioneers Museum, birthplace of the worldwide co-operative movement. Rochdale town centre, with its cafés, shops and the magnificent Grade I listed town hall, is close by, and good road links across Greater Manchester make visiting straightforward for families.

Care home staff on the whole are very good and any issues are dealt with accordingly. Activities arranged during the summer are very good but during the darker nights not as much. Any discrepancies are acted on by the manager and dealt with accordingly. I do have an issue with medication and communication between the the home GP and the staff at the home. Was waiting 3 months for some medication which I find to long and then most recently medication from Dec 25 not being issued.

Mum got admitted into Springfield Park Care Home at very short notice. The family went and had a look round and it the family was very impressed. The manager came and done a home visit and said they could accommodate her needs and she was in the home within a few weeks lovely. Staff very polite and nothing is too much you ask for someone and they’re there.

My wife Pat has been a resident at Springfield park care home for three years now. I have always felt that all the staff do a marvellous job. Yesterday at tea time as usual I was assisting Pat to eat her evening meal when she started to choke. I tried to help her dislodge the trapped food but to no avail. I then pressed the Nurses call buttons . Within seconds four staff came running in to Pats room. By then the food had cleared it’s self. The speed of the staff arriving in the room was marvellous and I can only say thank you to them all for metal cast in response to the call.
