My name is Maria, I am the manager of Rhosyn Melyn Nursing Home in Wrexham. I have worked in the care industry for almost 20 years, I began my career as a care assistant then progressed through various roles to then becoming a home manager. I have worked in various settings from Residential homes where I developed a small Dementia household, to specialised Dementia nursing care where I am currently working. I hold NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care and Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Care Services and hold all mandatory training required to sustain my role and manage my team. I believe in providing the highest quality of person-centred care, to promote wellbeing and fulfilment of our clients. We strive to maintain dignity and individuality for our residents within a warm and friendly atmosphere.

About the home
Rhosyn Melyn is a purpose-built care home designed to provide comfortable surroundings and a real sense of home. The layout runs across two floors, each with its own lounge and dining area, creating smaller, familiar spaces where residents can get to know the people around them and build friendships. Outside, there are two distinct spaces depending on the mood, the main garden, opening directly off the large kitchen diner, and a quieter courtyard reached through a smaller room nearby. Inside, residents have a choice of lounges and dining areas to spend time with friends, enjoy an activity, or simply have some quiet time. It's a home where residents can feel comfortable, enjoy their surroundings, and make each day their own.
